Loran Receiver

The Loran-Receiver DE8100 is a sophisticated DSP-based navigational- and timing receiver. It combines low power consumption with small dimensions and weight, and is thus ideally suited for both stationary and mobile applications. Due to its modular design it can be easily integrated into other hardware architectures. Futhermore, the receiver is able to decode the EUROFIX data stream.
Via RS232-Interfaces the Receiver is able to communicate with GPS-Receivers, such that the DGPS-EUROFIX-data may be passed to the GPS-receiver to enhance the current position and also to give an accurate position, when GPS does not work (e.g. in forests, tunnels or buildings).

We also offer H- and E-field antennas, a GPS daugterboard, and a display board with keypad.
With our serial terminal interface you can easily communicate with the DE8100.
A more detailed description of the DE8100 and technical data can be found in the data sheet.
In the following picture we present raw and uncorrected (except for one single ASF-factor) Loran-positions from a testdrive around Freiburg, obtained by a DE8100 Loran receiver and a H-field antenna. The testdrive was done by car, the antenna mounted on the roof of the car.
